The Big Launch

It’s official. Shamir has completed what it describes as “the biggest launch in optical history.” It’s not just one product, however. This lens was launched more than three years ago. However, the testing doesn’t stop, and applying data gathered since then, Shamir has further advanced the design to meet wearers’ current needs in today’s tech-driven society. With an expanded digital zone, not only does the design keep up with changing visual needs, but it addresses visual age as well.

GLACIER EXPRESSION

A technological breakthrough, this all-new AR coating raises the signal-to-noise ratio—a balance that defines how well a wearer sees in relation to nearby visual noise—and also actually lowers that noise level. This is important because when increased, that ratio, also known as SNR, helps decrease eye strain and fatigue and increase the comfort level of the wearer’s visual experience.

It’s all about looking better, seeing better, and feeling better. Features and benefits include outstanding scratch resistance and glare reduction, improved aesthetics, up to 70% fewer reflections of light that the eyes are most sensitive to, improved light transmittance and contrast sensitivity and increased comfort with decreased background noise.

The bottom line, of course, is wearer satisfaction. Among more than a hundred ECPs who were invited to test the product, overall satisfaction rang in at an impressive 96%, with fully 100% reporting increased comfort.
