This standalone advanced electro-optic measurement system that operates on wi-fi and carries an integrated CPU that can be located anywhere in the store. Based on sophisticated 3D stereo vision technology and artificial intelligence (AI) elements, you get an automatic measurement of your patient’s PD in just one click. Precision viewing is also aided by two active near-infrared cameras that show an unobstructed view of the patient’s pupils. And, thanks to state-of-the-art AI vision algorithm, Spark™ 4W allows you to get a complete picture of your patient by deducing 192 of their facial landmarks. It’s both simple to operate and convenient.
What about the eyewear itself? Four additional color cameras capture crisp images of any eyewear.
How It Works
The Spark™ devices were launched in 2013. With Spark™ 4W you get the patient’s PD in less than a minute. Spark™ 4 sees the patient’s pupils clearly even through sunglasses and clear lenses, as well as through different coatings.

The Process
When using Spark™ 4W, your team of ECPs can work in parallel. “While one is taking a photo on our Shamir Spark™ Remote App, the other can complete the measurement, marking the points of interest to complement all the required parameters on your tablet, laptop, or PC later once the patient has left your location, and then submitting your order online.
The ability to carry out measuring and ordering in the same session reduces risk and delays. It’s also easy to use, and measurements can be performed with the same ease and simplicity for any type of lens or frame. That includes coated lenses, sunglasses, and mirror coatings like clear lenses. Better yet, customers can choose from any type of frame on the market today.
